A Brit named Jamie McCartney asks a lot of women to take their pants off…for art.
Using plaster, McCartney makes molds of women’s ‘hoo-ha’s’ in an attempt to show what normal women look like in their nether regions. In a world dominated by porn, many women feel pressured to compete with the waxed, shaved, plucked, puckered, cut, sculpted, and otherwise altered ‘minis’ they or their sexual partners see on the internet or in pornographic movies. And, should their ‘ginas’ not compare, many women feel ashamed and/or pressured to do something about it.
McCartnery’s art seeks to change those feelings:
“For many women their genital appearance is a source of anxiety and I was in a unique position to do something about that.”
Go on. Have a look at some ‘noonies‘.
